Faster Discrete-event Simulation Through Structural Caching1

چکیده
We develop a structural caching strategy to improve the performance of simulation for a wide class of models expressed in high-level formalisms. By imposing a Kronecker consistent partition of a model into submodels, we compute once, and cache for future use, the effect of each event on each submodel. This greatly reduces the cost of processing events, updating the current state, and collecting statistics.1
